3rd Artifact

Hi all,

Here is our third artifact:




This is a ceremonial dress for men to wear in the 20 century in west sumatra. It shows information about the responsibilities of the person wearing it which are father, uncle and husband.

This is a clothing the malays would wear in the past. It is made of silk and this is also worn for weddings when the malays get married.

This is our first artifact:




This is a seat of honor in the past for Indonesia, for a nobleman or ancestor during feasts. They wanted to respect the more important people and the elders and so they are like a class above so they have a seat of honor for them.

As we went to the asian civilizations museum, we have decided to focus on south east asia, so we have chosen 3 artifacts and we are going to talk about them here.
